The secretary has kept records of business meetings.
The marina continues to offer a subsidised berth and Dale sailing sponsor the fuel. This year Castle Print Wear provided some Velcro badges, free of charge.
The website continues to be our main source of new contacts of which there were 8 in 2024. The data metrics showed that 1,643 people viewed the site with 159 social views in the past 12 months.
This season we had 40 people who experienced trips, including carers, on Pinafore. Verity K. was out of action for the whole season, needing repairs. Verity K has now been taken back to the Disabled Sailing association for winter repairs in Port Solent.
We were always able to get enough crew for each trip. Two notable trips were firstly two trips with Michael King, a disabled gentleman from Kent, who was supported to stay onboard, with a few days sailing up to Aberystwyth and back. Secondly, the Frame Running Dragons group from Cardiff came down and enjoyed a trip to Dale and back. By request from the organiser, Gabriela Todd, a detailed risk assessment was created for this trip and is available upon request.
Dawn gave a talk to the Pembroke Probus group in July 2024, and they gave us a donation of £50.
Various network opportunities have been followed up-Laura Clark from Visit Pembrokeshire has created a case study which will go on their website. Their Open to All project only has funding until the end of 2024, and they did offer to fund skipper training, but we were unable to get enough people together before the season ended. Richard has been carrying out the theory training prior to the practical, to be arranged in 2025 with Pembrokeshire Cruising.
Tesco blue token scheme was applied for and is currently collecting tokens in Pembroke Dock, Tenby and Saundersfoot. If we come 1st we will receive £1,500; 2nd £1,000 3rd £500- please give your tokens if you shop in Tesco. We had to amend our constitution to include an exit clause if we were longer functioning as an association, to ensure the money is used appropriately.
