Council Takes Over Public Conveniences

25th of October, 2024

When Pembrokeshire County Council announced that many public conveniences in the county would close unless town and community councils took over the running costs, Llanstadwell Community Council decided that the public conveniences at Hazelbeach were much too valuable an asset to lose.

After initially agreeing to fund the running and upkeep of the toilets, Llanstadwell Community Council has now assumed full responsibility for the toilets as of 1st July 2023.

The toilets will be open to the public all year round however the running costs are quite substantial.  The toilets are cleaned every day and the community council are responsible for the water and electricity costs.  Valero are very kindly providing the bulk of the cleaning materials and have assisted in the upkeep of the outside of the toilet building.
